A-Advanced Pest Control is owned and operated by Robert A. Ford and Steve E. Regnier. Since October 1998 we have been serving the Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, and the Greater Charleston area with pest control services.
Robert A. Ford was born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 4, 1967. His father served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1977 during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam crisis and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. His mother, of whom his father met in England while stationed on a United States Air base there, served in the United Kingdom Royal Army for six years and later became employed with the City of North Charleston after moving here to Charleston in 1967 and becoming a United States citizen. Robert graduated from Hanahan High School in 1988. He began his career in the pest control industry at an early age in May of 1987 during his junior year of high school working for a friend’s family business, Charlestown Pest Control. He worked a small residential and commercial pest control route a few hours each day after school and on Saturdays. He remained at Charlestown Pest Control until May of 1992 when he took a job with Barrier Termite and Pest Control as a pest control technician. In late 1994, Robert started his own pest control company, Absolute Pest Control and later sold that company to Barrier Termite and Pest Control in June of 1996 and went back to work for them as the pest control supervisor. He remained there until October of 1998 before leaving to help start A-Advanced Pest Control. Robert serves as Co-President and manages all of the daily administrative duties for the company and works in the field performing pest control services in Charleston, Kiawah Island, and Seabrook Island. During his spare time, Robert enjoys in-shore saltwater fishing and is past Secretary(2011-2013) for the Summerville Saltwater Anglers fishing club. He now serves as the Vice President for the 2014 calendar year and is the President pro-tem for 2015. He is also a member of CCA South Carolina (Coastal Conservation Association).
Steve E. Regnier was born in Oceanside, California on July 18, 1967. His father is a retired United States Marine and his mother is a retired manager from the hospitality industry. Steve’s parents relocated to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in 1975 where he graduated from White Oak High School in 1986. Steve joined the United States Navy in 1987 and served in the submarine force stationed on the USS James Monroe and then the USS Seahorse out of Charleston, South Carolina. He received an honorable discharge from the Navy in January of 1991. After leaving the Navy, he joined Orkin Pest Control in Charleston as a sales representative and received multiple awards for highest sales. He became a sales supervisor before ending his employment with Orkin Pest Control to join Barrier Termite and Pest Control as a sales representative in June of 1996. Steve worked his way up to become the pest control division manager before leaving that job in October of 1998 to help start A-Advanced Pest Control. Steve serves as Co-President and manages the daily field operations in Charleston, Kiawah Island, and Seabrook Island. Steve has been happily married for 18 years and is the proud father of a son and daughter.
